DELAWARE - After being out of action for three full months, Scott Lindsay and the St. Marys-based '20' racing team is planning a return to Delaware Speedway Park this Friday night.
Lindsay and company will compete in the final two races on the 2011 FT Garage Late Model schedule (Sept. 9 and 16). The former track champion has not raced since early June when he was involved in a nasty crash down the back straightaway of the half-mile oval.
"The car is pretty much ready to go," Lindsay told the Journal Argus last week. "There's just a few minor things to do, and we're going down to (McColl's) chassis shop (in London) to set everything."
Lindsay says its's too early to say if he and his crew will race next season at Delaware. "We have no idea right now; it will depend on sponsorship," he said.
Dalton third in bike racing
In other racing news, Lindsay's son Dalton finished thrid overall in the Summer Series in TVR 65 c.c. beginners (Thames Valley Riders motor-cross bike racing). He raced in places such as Thamesford, Walton and Owen Sound.
Dalton, 10, won a couple of races this summer.
